David Gilmour's 1984 solo album. On the first track as yet... SO MUCH SNARE OH MY FLOYD but it was 1984 so... ETA: Not quite as enjoyable as his first or latest two albums, in my opinion -- too much emphasis on pop tunes and not enough guitaringe. One or two tracks really stood out were 'Murder' (about John Lennon's death) and the last three tracks. I think 'Let's Get Metaphysical' -- the single instrumental track -- is actually the best. Overall, it wasn't nearly as drowning in 1980s soup as I feared it would be; there were one or two moments but it wasn't that bad.
