David Gilmour's 1978 eponymous solo album.
Listening to it now in honour of his birthday. Will have more thoughts presently...
ETA: A decent listen. The music was, of course, the focus of the album; lyrically it's David's usual fare, very straightforward, not terribly complex Waters-level poetry or anything but very personal. The instrumentals may have been the stronger tracks, particularly the opening 'Mihalis', although of course 'There's No Way Out Of Here' is fairly excellent and I very much enjoyed 'No Way' as well. Would listen again just for the sheer beauty of the guitar tones he achieves on this album.
