So this thread is for remembering what you remember. Uhh, I mean, remembering what you remember about PF. Basically "memories with Pink Floyd". Uhh, well I mean, you know.... Gosh, I could just put this somewhere else... Ehh, nah. I came across this; Awwwww... Poor innocent little Evie, not yet knowing the evils of PF. Man, my sarcasm is showing again, damn.

Great thread idea! A couple that stand out: - My dad playing Animals when I was little and me being like 'This song goes on for flipping forever, and I'm getting so tired of the "Stone, stone, stone, stone", and hey! Dog noises!' during 'Dogs'. - Listening to Meddle for the first time. www.beatlesbible.com/forum/all-together-now/pink-floyd/page-9/#p207699 - Watching Live At Pompeii for the first time and being blown away. - The moment when I realised that my Floyd-fandom had exceeded my father's.

First time I put on Piper I had headphones on in a plane. It scared the living daylights out of me, and I was like "this is what Pink Floyd sounds like?" I hadn't yet learned the members so I didn't realize this was a whole different beast from 70s Floyd.
Then there was that time I first listened to Dark Side of the moon. That opening chord on Breathe is like nothing else. Everytime I get new speakers or headphones I crank the volume and try to hear that chord like I heard it the first time.

Also, like The Lunatic, here is my Meddle story. I was planning on playing Meddle for the first time one night while I fell asleep. A minute into one of these days I shot out of bed and moved to another room so i could sit on the couch with surround sound to hear it. You all know how the album ends. It blew me out of the water.

As many times as I've heard that album, it never fails to do it for me. No matter how I'm feeling or where I'm at, I put DSOTM on and all the beautiful moments I've had with Pink Floyd come crashing over me once again in a wave, with that opening. (The hollering leading up to the backwards cymbal, followed by the buoyant, mellow guitar, is very wave-like.)

Good thread! I was looking at old school projects not long ago, and I noticed that one on "things about me" from three years ago (before I joined any forums; ahhh the memories) listed Comfortably Numb as one of my favourite songs! Huh.
