A song, an album, a member, live shows, interviews-- whatever it be, rave here!
Right now, I'm kinda stuck on 'Wots... Uh The Deal', from Obscured By Clouds (a very nice album in all). And live versions of 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene'. And David Gilmour (hence the appreciation thread).

Right now, I'm on a bit of a kick of The Final Cut (t'is a very good album, I do say so myself!) and Roger in general. Boy, do I love Roger.

Kind of dotty about 'Is There Anybody Out There?' at the moment -- I just LOVE that beautiful guitar part (which, the Wiki tells me, wasn't even played by a proper Floyd -- harrumph! I'll just believe 'twas Pink. ).

Still on a huge Roger kick. I've gone from zero photos of him to nearly one hundred in a period of only two or three months. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I LOVE ME SOME ROGER

Everything. Syd. Especially his early Floyd singles. 'Green Is The Colour' and 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene', which were often played back-to-back live. David's guitaring, especially his early slide work. Rick, always. ❤

Eh? That's strange. Well, I'm sure there are other versions that are available.
I'm currently obsessed with all things Gilmour.

Paintbox with its little "away, away, away, away, away", etc...vocals, they're so, dunno, child-like and hilarious.

I'm really loving 'Julia Dream' and 'The Narrow Way' right now. Especially the BBC live versions.

I'm currently obsessed with a couple of details which don't really fit together: - Roger's voice. He can let out the scariest screams in the world (as for example in Live At Pompeii or Comfortably Numb), whisper in a creepy way (set the controls for the Heart Of The Sun) or can sing so vicious one wants to hide below the bed ('you may feel a little sickkkkk'). However, as he proves in 'If', he can also sing very gently. - Rick. Just everything about him. I love the jazz influences in his playing, and all the different scales he uses, I love the way he is always quiet in the background and yet has a major influence on the Pink Floyd Sound. Okay, I'll admit it, he's also very cute. And this song:

I totally feel ya, thinyoungmoon ; Roger is freakily awesome and Rick is easy to have a thing for... I have always had a rather large soft spot for him myself, even when I consider David to be my favourite Floyd. Together, he and David make up the centre of the Pink Floyd Sound (post-Syd anyway). I just love it when they get equal shine time (if you know what I mean), like in 'Echoes' or the extended jam from 'Fat Old Sun' live (which I'm still kind of obsessed with at the moment so it fits here ). Cute avatar, too! Did you know that that's Nick Mason singing lead in that song? I didn't believe it when I heard it, but Syd only sings backing and 'She'll be scrubbing bubbles on all fours'.

Current Obsession: the way David Gilmour touches his guitar. I mean, look at this (at about 6 minutes it gets especially touching (sorry about the bad pun, *pwt*): It looks as if he was stroking his guitar, he's so loving and gentle! So much guitar love is just warming the heart from inside.

I just got Obscured By Clouds. You'll likely hear me rattling about it in the near future -- right about now, I think 'Burning Bridges' is the gear.
I just love the way the everything I'm much too tired to go into detail so take my word for it ummm, the HARMONIES. YEAH. Gilmour-Wright harmonies, so perfect 😍

The way he caresses the strings -- with both hands, left and right -- just brings joy to my guitar-fangirlish heart <3 especially in the live versions of 'The Blue' where he's just strumming during the verses... I'm finding David Gilmour's debut eponymous solo album very pleasant.

Listened to The Endless River in Rick's memory on the 15th. Just so happened it was just what I needed and I've been kinda digging it since then.
