A few days ago in one of my classes, I noticed a kid wearing a Pink Floyd shirt. We were doing a short project-thing where we made slides, that would be presented to the class, of what we did on vacation. I mentioned celebrating Piper's 50th, and the kid said something along the lines of "You listen to Pink Floyd?!" So, that was cool.

I want to know if you might find a kindred Floydhead.

I went to an art exhibition the other day and there was a series of three paintings titled 'sysiphus I', 'sysiphus II' and 'sysiphus III'.

I was reading an entry in this lovely series called 'New Band Of The Week' in the Guardian where they present newcomers and at the end, there's always a profile of the band. In the profile of a prog band called the Physics House Band there appeared this:

I had been talking about Pink Floyd and our awesome road trip to see Roger Waters with some of my aunts and cousins this afternoon (among other favourite musics *ahem*), and lo and behold, when my aunt went out to her car, the first thing she heard was 'Comfortably Numb' on the radio. I also found that another cousin on the other side of my family likes the Floyd. (She's not a real hardcore Crazy Diamond, I don't think, but she likes them, so that's something.)

Working on a paper about the importance of communication in a college setting and beyond is just one long Floydy moment but especially...
(Needless to say, I'm not submitting it with that particular citation )

This is delicately awesome, I can't believe it...
So long as men can breathe (in the air), or ears can hear, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Bother, it doesn't rhyme... I was going to perform this at the annual Sonnet Reading, but XVIII was nabbed (naturally), so I ended up setting Sonnnet CXLI to music instead... but nonetheless I mentioned that it was inspired by this, and therefore I got to mention 'my ultimate guitar hero of all time, David Gilmour (<3)' and because of that, I got in a brief conversation with one of the other readers about Pink Floyd afterward.

I heard 'The Great Gig In the Sky', 'Mother', and 'Have A Cigar' on the radio at a coffee-shop today. Some impressive song choices and three different ones no less! Must've been some Floyd fans.

One of my classmates was wearing a shirt that had a bunch of Floyd album titles in groovy rainbow letters on it... I didn't read them all but I saw Piper and Ummagumma at the top, Dark Side further down, and Division Bell at the bottom, so they appeared to be in order, although I don't think it was all 15 studio albums. I wish I could find a picture like it, it was a very neat shirt... :/
