Here, you may talk about the aforementioned album! I listened to this one just recently, and despite what a lot of others seem to think of it, I loved it! So much, in fact, that I think it's probably my second-favourite Floyd album so far. It's very Roger-y; probably even more so than The Wall, if that were possible (it's really more of a Roger-solo-album, actually ). So, if you don't like a lot of Roger-hot-sauce on your Floyd albums, this one might not be your cup of tea. Also, it's got a lot of the same kind of subject matter as The Wall does (i.e. the death of Roger's father, war, etc.). So, if you don't like that sort of thing, this album may also not be your cup of tea. Anyways, I really love it, so I definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven't already! Just, y'know, have tissues at hand, as my eyes started Roger Water-ing quite a lot while taking in the whole thing. Happy listening!

As it happens, I do believe that everyone here has heard it I've only heard it once, which hardly counts, but what I recall was that it was a) much more subdued, production-wise, than The Wall, therefore I found it considerably less overwhelming; b) not nearly Ricky enough (I was in a Rick mood the day I listened to it, which was not wise); c) VERY Roger-y. It is a Roger solo album, in all but the name, which is why I and many Floyd fans wouldn't put it near the top of our lists; and d) yes, there were some very touching bits; creepy ol' Rog can be quite empathetic when he wishes.

The thing I don't really like about The Final Cut is it seems like a majority of the songs are the same trudging tempo, which is fine, except for they're kinda tedious as well.
I'd still rank it above Meddle though.
