In science class earlier this week, we were learning about spectrums and such, and a picture much like the DSotM album cover appeared on one of the powerpoint slides. My teacher was talking about it, and said "No, this is not Pink Floyd, WeepyC." You know you're a crazy diamond when...

You find a pile of bricks and just have to take three of them and write: 'Pt I: Reminiscence'; 'Pt II: Education'; and 'Pt III: Drugs' on them. And the respective verses to accompany them, on their respective bricks.

When you get upset at your friend for playing Brain Damage and not Eclipse. I mean come on, that's an essential back to back!

syd gilmour ^ This begs the question, how did they play Brain Damage and not the rest of side two? I mean come on, that's essential continuity!
One great thing about my dad (although sometimes vexing to an impatient child like me-years-ago) is that he usually can't play a Floyd song without playing the whole album. Same goes for the Beatles, as I recall. But I digress...
You know you're a crazy diamond when you find the Pink Floyd in the vinyl section at Barnes and Noble, and you cannot walk away without arranging the albums in chronological order.

You know you're a crazy diamond* when you want to eat a piece of fruit for breakfast and you choose a banana without even liking them that much only because you want the fruit bowl to look like that:

YKYACDW ... while listening to the last 30 seconds of Eclipse you suddenly have the idea to feel your pulse and after a few seconds your heart beats exactly in sync with the other heartbeats, you know the heartbeats! And when you have the desire to laugh madly whenever someone says 'I can't think of anything to say' (even when they say it in German!)

Okay, so I was listening to that album last night, and I tried this and it actually worked. Amazing. I felt like the universe and Pink Floyd and I had all lined up.

I caught myself full-on fangirl-squealing because Nick played That One Fill after the line 'And do I take you by the hand' in a live version of 'Echoes'.
